Board Members

Amy Barnes is a parent to one of our riders, Mia who is 6 years old who was diagnosed at birth with Spina Bifida and rides at ROSL. Amy is self employed as a licensed Realtor since 2002 and is employed with Gateway GMAC and has also owned and operated a housekeeping company that specialized in helping people maintain their homes and coordinating services and assistance for private dinner parties. In addition, Amy has experience as an event planner, Assistant Director of Operations for a Florida International Museum.

Amy is working on establishing a couple of business projects, one of which is a NFP charitable organization called Helping Kids Together. It's mission of "Joining hands with the community in an effort to aid in research and development of cures for birth defects while at the same time helping to enrich the lives of those affected by providing support and access to programs that will enable them to discover their unknown abilities and reach their full potential." Of all the jobs Amy has ever had, the most rewarding one and the one I am most dedicated to is motherhood!

Celeste Breitwiser is an Information Technology Manger for Indianapolis-based WellPoint, Inc. She is responsible for delivery of IT solutions focusing on meeting the needs of providers, payers, and business partners, specifically for HealthLink EDI located in St. Louis, MO. and Worker’s Compensation located in Anaheim, CA.

Susan Chamberlain is the Development Director for ROSL. From 1998 to 2007, she was the Office Manager and Conference Coordinator for the Global Aquaculture Alliance, an international, non-profit industry trade association. She organized 7 international conferences and was responsible for membership management, budget development, all association accounting, and was the Board Secretary. She retired from her position at GAA to pursue charity work in the local community, which brought her to Ride On St. Louis in January 2007. She is currently responsible for developing funding strategies in addition to performing administrative duties as needed.

Tena Combs brings 20+ years as a Business professional with experience in financial, operational and systems management. Tena's expertise is in project management, budgeting, process improvement, training and development and procedure/policy development. Tena is the Director of Implementation-Customer Support, at NuParadigm in Chesterfield, MO. Prior to this Tena worked at Washington University as the Associate Director of Student Financial Services. At ROSL, Tena has served as a side walker directly assisting children and lends creative ideas to fundraising, policy and is pursuing horse leader training. In addition, she is ROSL's chair of the Fundraising Advisory Council.

Mark Counts is the director of technology services for RubinBrown. Mark possesses more than 15 years of experience in accounting and technology. He oversees the technology services department and ensures all RubinBrown departments and groups are making the most effective use of technology. He also manages the planning, design, implementation and support of cost-efficient technology solutions. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, he served as a Director of technology for InfoSys and MDI Technologies and as a vice president of Magna Bank. Mark has also volunteered as Sunday evening caretaker at Ride On St. Louis for the past 4 years and has assisted in upgrading the technological capabilities of the ROSL office.

Gary Ellis is a Senior Vice President with Southern Commercial Bank and has 29 years in the Banking Industry. Gary is a member of the Arnold Chamber of Commerce and Arnold Rotary. In addition, Gary has board experience with the Jefferson County Growth and Development Corp. and served on project review committee for the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation. Gary enjoys golf and do-it your-self projects at home, is a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church. Mr. Ellis and his wife, Angela has 4 children.

Lisa Harter is a business development professional with 21 years of corporate experience with the DuPont Company in the agriculture and food industries. Most recently, Lisa held the position of National Business Development Executive with a privately held human resources company, and also consults with start-up businesses on process improvement. Throughout her career, Lisa has successfully held positions in global strategic planning, business development and sales, and received Six Sigma Black Belt Certification through DuPont. Lisa is an active member of several professional organizations in St. Louis, and has been a volunteer for Connections to Success and WomenâSafe House, serving on both annual conference and fundraising event planning committees for these non-profit organizations.

Connie Kraus has 20+ years of professional experience in the areas of Real Estate, Treasury, Finance/Banking and Commercial Credit in both corporate and Non-Profit arenas. She is currently Director of Real Estate at Washington University and Vice President of Quadrangle Management Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Washington University. She has also served as the Assistant Treasurer and Financial Analyst at Washington University. Prior to Washington University, she worked at Citicorp Mortgage Corporation and Citicorp National Services. She serves on the board of the Association of University Real Estate Officials and the Association for Construction Careers, Education and Support Services and is the 2010-11 Assistant Treasurer for the Junior League of St. Louis. She is a Certified Property Manager and member of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Vincent Lindwedel (President) is the CEO of Principle Realty Solutions. Vince is also involved with Moolah Shrine Mounted Lancers and was recognized as the Retail Entrepreneur of the Year-finalist in 1994, by Inc. Magazine, Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch. Vince is also a member of numerous community and civic organizations including, but not limited to: Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Shriner's Hospital, and Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Garrison Murphy is a young professional/entrepreneur that has been serving local businesses and the general public in the greater St. Louis area for 10+ years. He currently is the owner/operations manager of STL-Solar a renewable energy company located in the Midwest. During the past 10+ years Garrison has also successfully served, met, and networked with a variety of business owners and families through his residential/commercial relocation company. His skills include sales, marketing, finance and public relations. In addition he has helped promote Appreciate The World, Inc. which supports a variety of charities in St. Louis, MO that include Children's Hospital, Pujols Family Foundation, & Coaches Time Out. He is passionate about serving and giving back to his community.

Carla Puricelli is the Vice President of Asset Management with Keefe Group. She has been with the Keefe Group since 1981. Her role as VP of Keefe Group gives her access to connections that are helpful when planning and executing fundraising events and helping to secure overall funding to help support ROSL's operations. Carla has owned horses for over 25 years.

Executive Director

Rick Wassman is a founding officer for ROSL and serves currently as Executive Directory. Rick is an enterprising business professional with over 25 years of progressive experience in business management and sales with Fortune 500 Companies such as Dun & Bradstreet, Ernst & Young as well as Equifax Commercial. Rick has been successful in identifying resourceful solutions that lead to profitable revenue and market share growth throughout his career and has assisted multiple businesses in the areas of marketing, risk management, supply chain management and strategic planning. He is diverse in all sales and business management activities from identifying, selecting and the managing of personnel to developing marketing and selling strategies.

Program Director

Marita Wassman is a founding officer and serves currently as Program Director. Marita is a certified therapeutic instructor with the North American Riding for the Handicapped. Marita has over 30 years experience with a variety of equestrian enterprises and has trained at Rolling Acres Stable under Liz Young Millard, a member of the 1968 U.S. Equestrian Team. Marita professionally worked with Otis Brown Stables of St. Louis and LePere Thoroughbred Training Center in Illinois. Marita was the head instructor at Pecan Tree Farm in Houston, Texas. During her tenure as instructor, the number of riding students increased by 285% while gaining broad knowledge and experience with their therapeutic horsemanship program as a volunteer.
