About Ride On St. Louis

ROSL began in 1998 as a small backyard operation, on two acres in the director's backyard in Oakville, MO for four years. In 2001, ROSL relocated the program to the Estate of the late Fred and Mabel-Ruth Anheuser, heirs of the family that founded the Anheuser-Busch Company. The use of this facility is through courtesy of the Anheuser Permanent Fund. ROSL benefits from a larger and more efficient accommodation, which includes a six-horse stable, tack room, and outdoor arena.

In addition, the Anheuser Permanent Fund donated the construction of The Buttercup indoor riding arena, named in honor of the Anheuser's World Champion Saddlebred. ROSL will always hold deep appreciation and admiration to Ms. Dorothy Hatfield, the niece of Mr. & Mrs. Anheuser, who was instrumental in granting this tremendous gift to ROSL and the surrounding community.

Our Mission

The program mission is to use hippotherapy (therapy with the aid of a horse) and/or therapeutic horsemanship to achieve emotional, mental and physical benefits for the developmentally and physically disabled, as well as the disadvantaged youth of the community.

Our Values

Ride On St. Louis (ROSL) was founded to serve all for the greater glory, honor, and love of God. We value the use of prayer and recognize our dependence on God. The center promotes volunteerism; the willing spirit of service, the offering of good works, and the duty of caring and the giving of love with an openness of heart to receive and know God's Peace and Joy in return. ROSL distinguishes itself as the only therapeutic riding center developing an outreach program for at-risk youth in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
