Amy

Hi. I'm glad I don't have to use a microphone. My name is Amy, which means friend. I love to run, since I'm a thoroughbred. Volunteers and riders really need to reach to groom me because I'm 16 hands. The only thing I like better than being groomed is to be with Billy. My most important job is to train new leaders and sidewalkers.

Beau

I am an Arabian. We are known for our grace and beauty. I am certain that is why I was named Beau, short for beautiful. I understand I am to teach riders how to balance and to be able to ride other equines who may not know as much as I. The therapists love my perfect gate so being humble is something I work at when nibbling the treats offered at the end of each ride.

Billy

Hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself. I'm Billy, a quarter horse, about 15 hands, and though I don't like to brag, happen to have a ribbon on my stall that says I'm #1. I guess it's because I'm very patient and try to walk very steady for my fragile riders. I just love getting hugs. Although, I miss Libby, my last owner, she knew we could both help our community.

Diego

Ola. Mi nombre es Juan Diego. Oh, pardon me, that's John James in English. I started as a therapy horse when I was only three. I was chosen especially for my size, 13 hands, and my outgoing personality. I love to play with the toys, new volunteers, and kids who are having so much fun.

Lucy

I'm Lucy and proud to be an Appaloosa. I was born in 1988 and am 15.3 hands. I came to live at ROSL in 2001 and know I have many important jobs. I am healthier than ever before and like to help my riders feel better, too. I am also the equine team director.

Red Star

Red Star, that's me. I think I've just about seen and done it all because I am 29 years old. I have been loving life at ROSL since 2002. My girl, Ellie, loves me and shares me with all the other little bitty humans. I know I'm special, the only Shetland Pony working here. Often, I have four to six staff and volunteers all swarming over me at one time. I guess it's really `cause of my special riders, but I am glad to be right in the middle of it all.

Shamrock

Top o'the mornin' to ya partner. Though I am a quarter horse and used to show in western pleasure classes, my family is Irish and chose to call me Shamrock. I am almost 16 hands tall and can do a great western jog, which really helps sports riders.
