R.I.S.E | RESTORE IN STILLNES & EQUINES
An equine-assisted service and expansion of Equine Services for Heroes, offering rest, reflection, and renewal for first responders and veterans who serve in the MO Department of Corrections. This outlet combats day-to day high stress environments, emotional fatigue, and the lingering effects of work-related trauma, by inviting participants to step away from daily demands, reconnect with themselves, and explore topics on and lessons with one of God’s most grounding
creations—the horse.

Participants of R.I.S.E. step into an environment where the presence of horses and the beauty of nature offer a rare chance to slow down, reflect, and breathe. A typical day
might include grooming, learning the art of leading the horse with calm confidence, observing the herd’s natural interactions, or quietly enjoying the peace of the pastures. These activities encourage connection and awareness, while fostering community, support, and morale.
