Activities at our new Forever Home are ongoing to build out an existing barn! Thus far, the barn has been gutted, framed, partially sided, trenched, and utilities have been laid in preparation for flooring and the installation of stalls. An old concrete silo base has been busted up and moved, as well. Plans are in place to demolish a dilapidated barn, grade or earth move to create desired grounds for drainage and preparation, and to install approximately 6,000 feet of fencing for turnouts and an outdoor arena for clients and program needs. Ride On St. Louis is on track to transition our herd and operations to the new location in by the end of 2024.
Throughout the renovations, improvements, and relocation, our programs and activities continue at the Cedar Hill location and lease, while necessary preparations are underway at our Forever Home.
Our 26-year-old nonprofit has reached the much anticipated stage of our Forever Home endeavors. With all the success of our campaign and the capital raised, we find ourselves still in great need of funding to complete our renovation requirements and relocate our horses and programs to the new property. Securing the remaining funds needed for the complete property purchase through the Forever Home campaign is a high priority. We have a beautiful new home and are eager to see our hard work pay off and get back to doing what we do best–helping people to grow stronger, to smile more, to learn new skills, and so much more.
