Nonprofit and Equine Designation Awards

Ride On St. Louis is committed to service, transparency and integrity, and pursues superior standards for quality. "Ride On St. Louis provides community volunteers, advocates, and investors the credible, quality outlet they are seeking to provide children and adults with health challenges the resources they need to live joyful fulfilling lives," says ROSL CEO Marita Wassman. "Our elected practices ensure top-level function and integrity in governance and programming, and translate to our supporters and beneficiaries."

Ride On St. Louis is proud to announce that we have once again earned our status as a Better Business Bureau (BBB) Accredited Charity Seal Holder for the 15th consecutive year. Michelle Corey, BBB president & CEO said, “By meeting BBB Standards for Charity Accountability and displaying BBB’s seal, it gives donors the confidence needed to support Ride On St. Louis’s mission. Charities that meet these best practices go above and beyond legal requirements, putting them in an elite group.”

Ride On St. Louis was awarded a 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Guidestar by Candid. This is the 7th consecutive year we have achieved the platinum award. The program encourages nonprofit organizations to share their progress and results in important new ways—moving beyond simplistic financial ratios—to reflect the changes organizations are making in their community. Our GuideStar Platinum designation demonstrates that we are a nonprofit that measures progress and results, shows our improvement and results year over year, and provides a concrete alternative to evaluation by overhead ratio alone.

Additionally, Ride On St. Louis has earned The Guardian Seal, awarded annually by the EQUUS Foundation, for six consecutive years since the seal program debuted in 2017. To earn this seal, Ride On St. Louis provides detailed information on personnel, programs and services; facility and grounds; equine expenses, policies, and care; and organizational governance, management and financial reporting. The seal is displayed on our Equine Welfare Network profile and demonstrates our status as an approved organization.

"Ride On St. Louis leads the industry in quality and excellence," says Wassman, "and always puts our clients’ individual experiences over convenience or commercial interest, while remaining fiscally judicious."
