Clearing, Fixing, and Growing: Thank You, Liberty Mutual Volunteers!

At Ride On St. Louis, we believe it takes a community to build a place where healing, growth, and hope can flourish — and today, we saw that community spirit in action thanks to a phenomenal group of volunteers from Liberty Mutual!

Through Liberty Mutual’s Serve with Liberty program, thousands of employees give back each year to the causes they care about most. We were honored to welcome 13 of those amazing volunteers — Andrea, Andrew, Chris, Clarissa, Danielle, Demetri, James, Jayme, Josh, Lauren, Mark, Mike, and Ryan — to our Forever Home, where their hard work made a tremendous impact.

Their efforts tackled several big projects that had been on our wish list for a while. Volunteers cleared out dozens of old tires from a long-forgotten pit on the edge of the property — removing eyesores and helping us reclaim and beautify more of our home. They also relocated several fruit trees, carefully moving them outside of our newly established horse pasture and into the orchard where they’ll thrive safely.

The team didn’t stop there. They jumped in to weed and reestablish protective cages around our young trees, helping ensure the orchard's continued health and growth. They also tackled an urgent repair to our storage building, where recent storms had left us with rotten boards, bent roofing panels, and leaks that created a soggy mess inside. Thanks to their skills, the roof is now repaired and sturdy — no more shaking in the wind! As a bonus, some volunteers even rolled up their sleeves to help stain the rafters in our barn extension, moving us one step closer to completing that important project.

We’re also grateful for the helping hands of Craig, Jim, and Rick — dedicated Ride On St. Louis volunteers — along with staff members BriAnn, Marita, and Stan, who worked alongside the Serve with Liberty team to make the day a huge success.

We are so thankful for the energy, enthusiasm, and hard work poured into every task. Every tire removed, tree planted, nail hammered, and brushstroke of stain helps create a Forever Home that will serve countless children and adults with health challenges for years to come.
